Downtown Gilbert's Heritage District transforms for six weeks with Harvest in the Heritage District, this year built around the theme "Tales from the Heritage District." Renowned pumpkin artist Ray Villafane has created story-filled pumpkin installations throughout the district, turning a stroll through downtown into an outdoor art walk.

- The Great Gilbert Gourd Hunt — an immersive, district-wide art experience featuring Villafane's pumpkin installations, on display for the full six weeks.
- Celebration Soundscape — a nightly light-and-sound installation at Water Tower Plaza, 6–10 PM.
- ¡Viva! A Celebration of Hispanic Heritage — September 25, 6–8:30 PM.
